1. How do I order a test?

If you would like to order a test from Satoris, please follow the steps below.  

1. Contact our Customer Service at customerservice@satoris.com or call 888-474-8420 to discuss your project and obtain a sales quotation.
2. When you are ready to place an order, please contact our Customer Service with a Purchase Order and a Sample Submission Form will be provided. Please note, we do not accept credit cards.
3. Complete the Sample Submission Form and e-mail it to our Customer Service.
4. Upon receipt, Satoris will send an order confirmation and instructions for shipping your samples. 
5. Once the samples are received and logged, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with the expected date your analysis results will be available.

Upon completion of the test and analysis, a final report will be provided via e-mail.  Unless otherwise specified, the final report will be directed to the contact and e-mail listed on the Sample Submission Form.

 
2. The DiscoveryMAP™ is a panel offered by Rules-Based Medicine (RBM). Why are you also offering this product? Shouldn’t I just order it directly from RBM?

Satoris has been selected as the global distributor of the DiscoveryMAP 189 analyte protein biomarker panel for neurology research. The addition of the DiscoveryMAP product augments Satoris’ existing menu of neurobiomarker panels and allows customers to access all of these panels from a single source.

 
3. What are your sample requirements?

Minimum sample requirements are:

*  Please note that all performance data was collected using EDTA plasma.

 
4.  What is the minimum number of samples that can be submitted?

For the Neuro panels:

• The minimum order number is 5 samples. Orders with less than 5 samples are not accepted as the per-sample processing cost is prohibitive.
• Customers with orders of 5 to 25 samples have two options:
• Customers can elect to pay a per-sample expedite fee.  Samples will be processed within the standard 15 working days turnaround time.
• Customers may choose to wait until Satoris can accumulate additional samples from other sources to meet the batch size minimum.  There is no expedite fee applied, but the sample processing time is extended based on sample availability.  Customers choosing this option should speak with a Customer Service representative to discuss the study requirements.

For the DiscoveryMAP panel the minimum order number is 50 samples.

 
5.  How many sample replicates do you test?

We do not routinely test replicates. Therefore, if you would like replicates of a sample to be run, please aliquot the sample and submit in separate tubes. Please also be sure that the sample numbers for each of the tubes is unique and labeled clearly. Your sample numbers will be used to track the analysis and report the sample results.

 
6. How should samples be labeled?  Can you accept bar codes?  Which bar code standard?

• Samples should be labeled with unique identification codes.  We accept all bar code standards.  Please be sure to clearly label each tube prior to submission.    
• We require that any personal identification information such as the patient/donor name or any other additional information that could be used to identify the subject be removed from the sample prior to submission to ensure privacy of the information.   We are respectful of the privacy of individuals and will not accept any samples that do not meet these criteria.  Should you have further questions about these requirements, please contact Customer Service. 

 
7.  What is the turnaround time for test results?

For the Neuro Panels:

• For orders of 25 or more samples, the standard turnaround time is 15 working days from receipt of the samples.
• For orders of 5-25 samples there two options:
• Samples for orders containing fewer than 25 samples can be held at Satoris until a batch of 25 can be accumulated. In this situation the standard turnaround times do not apply. Customers selecting this option will be notified
• Upon receipt of their samples
• When the samples begin processing and the expected completion date.
• Customers with orders of fewer than 25 samples requiring a 15-day turnaround time may choose to pay a per-sample expedite fee. Please contact Customer Service if you are interested in learning more about this option.

For the DiscoveryMAP panel, the minimum turnaround time is 25 working days.

 
8. What information will I get back in a report?

Our final analysis reports are provided as Excel files and include the following information:

• An Excel workbook which includes concentration data for each of the biomarkers measured.
• Neuro panels and DiscoveryMAP reports include a concentration summary by biomarker. If the sample information includes class identification, fold change and t-test are also provided.
• Customers seeking customized analysis should contact Satoris to discuss their study design and analysis requirements as well as to obtain a quotation for these additional services.

10.  Are you offering a diagnostic test?

These tests are being made available as a research use only products (RUO) and are not for patient diagnosis or management.

 
11.  Are there other labs that offer your test?

These service-based  tests are only available from Satoris and are offered in conjunction with our service partner RBM.
